Raised in the light continent of Klastradia, Livia’s family was not of as higher class of most noble purebloods so her family’s job choice was limited. Her father was a warrior, a mercenary for hire, often doing jobs for a wide range of people. Admiring her father at a young age she strived to be a warrior like him despite her family’s protests. Training herself from childhood by watching her father the woman left home becoming a wandering fighter taking jobs where she could. She found her new life exciting and the line between right and wrong began to blur. She began to deliberately search out conflict to fight not realizing she was falling farther and farther from what her father had wanted her to become.
Livia’s strength had caught the eye of a young nobleman and fighter named Cedric von Franz. He was a quiet reserved young man and immediately perked her interest when he had offered her a job to work under his father as a permanent mercenary. Hesitant at first for the dislike of being tied down to one employer she was eventually convinced by Cedric to take the job. Her job was pretty interesting but extremely secretive as her boss and Cedric never told her what they were doing until it was happening. Not one to protest she didn’t question the way the Von Franz family operated but still found it somewhat odd.
Cedric and Livia became fighting partners, Cedric usually took the initiative going into battle before she would seeming even more eager to fight than she did. He was a skilled fighter with deadly precision and accuracy and soon began training her how to use summoning magic and hone her abilities as a warrior. Once she had mastered the art Cedric had left her to more and more fights on her own. Disappointed but still determined she began to fight even more fiercely killing whomever she was ordered too not bothering once to stop and think if it was right or wrong not even whom she was killing was innocent or not. She was fighting solely to become stronger for her own gain.
Livia’s orders became more and more violent and each time she saw less and less of her fighting partner. Not minding this and having control over the lesser experienced mercenaries she would fight without concern, boldly going into battle not caring about the other fighters. One job was particularly brutal, the slaying of a family who had betrayed the Von Franz. Seeing the children her resolve weakened seeing the children had done nothing wrong and the reason for killing them was rejecting a business deal with the Von Franz family. Questioning herself she refused her job to hesitantly fight again. However, conflicted she had left her comrades to fight alone leading them to death. Cedric had come back to the slaughter furious seeing that her will to fight was gone. Finally asking what his family did for a living he had refused to tell and stabbed her through the stomach leaving her for dead still having a bit of attachment for the woman. Grieving she thought about how far she had fallen from the ideal warrior her father was and what she had become.
Vowing to make up for her sins she refused to fight recklessly. She vowed to only fight to protect rather than the pursuit of selfish desire for power. An odd colorful looking boy approached her realizing she was highly skilled offered her a job at his supposed academia. Believing she could leave her past behind and teach her students to fight for what is right to atone for her ways she accepted the job.
